The NAB's June Annual Meeting in Oklahoma City at the Omni Hotel was a wealth of information for those in attendance. As the leadership term drew to a close, the current officers and committee chairs highlighted the strategic plan's milestones and ongoing projects. A key development was the formation of a "Tools and Resources" subcommittee under the State Governance Committee, tasked with the continuous update of the study guide, administrator residency manual, and other NAB resources.
The board was also presented with proposed changes to the CE providers' procedures and handbook. The NAB HSE accreditation of three higher education programs was another momentous occasion. Moreover, the Board of Governors approved an increase in the amount withheld from exam application refunds, a move necessitated by rising staffing costs. Examinations remained a focal point, with the introduction and endorsement of a new exam company to assist NAB in the crafting and supervision of exams.
