Governing Member Responsibilities

Board of Governors

The NAB is governed by the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors consists of one (1) delegate from each Governing Member board or agency. Delegates may cast one vote on all matters on the basis of one vote per board or agency. Only designated delegates from each Governing Member board or agency are eligible to serve on the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors has supervision, direction, and control of the affairs of the association. It may appoint such agents, as it may consider necessary to assist in the execution of the powers granted.

Elected Officers

The officers of the association are the Chair, Chair-Elect, Immediate Past Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.

The executive committee has authority within policies, procedures, and rules, within legal provisions and the association bylaws, to act for the association and has charge of its routine affairs in the intervals between meetings of the board of governors. Elections for Chair-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer are held every two years.
