During the 2024 Annual Meeting, the Education Committee had the opportunity to review three academic accreditation programs, one up for NAB HSE™ renewal and two for initial accreditation. Western Kentucky University (KY) was recommended for renewal of their accredited programs, which was passed by the Board of Governors. Southwestern Oklahoma State University (OK) and Youngstown State University – Masters of Health and Human Services (OH) were recommended for initial accreditation of their accredited programs, which were passed by the Board of Governors.
The remainder of the Education Meeting focused on the Education Task Force presentations which included discussion around the Annual Report process and the tools for program site visitors and students. The recommendations were brought forth and voted to have NAB staff take a closer look and come back to the committee in November with more research done and updates to the Academic Accreditation Workbook made. There was a high-level update given by Michelle Grachek on Vision Center as she sits on the board.
