Member Relations and Outreach Committee Tackles Strategic Goals

The Member Relations and Outreach Committee, chaired by Amy Clary and vice chaired by Jennifer See, convened on November 14, 2024, at the DeSoto Hotel in Savannah, GA, to address initiatives from NAB's Strategic Plan. Highlights included a review of 2024 marketing analytics by Stephanie Arteaga, who showcased successes in social media engagement, email communications, and web traffic, while also previewing upcoming projects like AI how-to videos, a podcast, and a new mobile app.  

Amy Clary facilitated discussions among five breakout groups to explore strategies for increasing meeting attendance, expanding awareness of the HSE standard, and improving outreach to legislators and stakeholders through partnerships, storytelling, and targeted communications. 

Breakout groups proposed innovative ideas, such as creating a mobile app to enhance meeting engagement, developing virtual and in-person presentations to promote the HSE standard, and launching podcast episodes to share insights on professional development and wellness. The discussions also emphasized outreach to underrepresented groups, improving communication with state executives, and leveraging social media to highlight NAB’s mission. These actionable insights will shape NAB’s 2024-26 Strategic Plan, demonstrating the committee's dedication to advancing member relations and outreach.
