NAB Board of Governors Meeting

The NAB Board of Governors met in November in Savannah, GA for the NAB’s Mid-Year meeting. Various committees provided updates on their activities and plans for the upcoming year.  

Kicking off the meeting, the Member Relations and Outreach Committee affirmed their focus on the strategic plan and objectives for 2025. The Bylaws Committee announced their plan to meet quarterly in preparation for the annual meetings. The Continuing Education Committee reviewed and approved four certified CE provider applications, while the Education Committee reported on potential future accreditations and updates to the Academic Accreditation Workbook. 

The State Governance and Regulatory Issues Committee reviewed the annual state survey and unveiled the new Tools & Resources subcommittee, calling for interested volunteers to join. The Credentialing Commission reported that New Mexico is the latest state to accept the HSE. The Examination Committees highlighted their recent work and future, including collaborations with Pearson Vue, the new exam vendor.  

The Treasurer's Report examined the proposed budget for 2025, noting increases in meeting costs and expected revenue. The President & CEO's Report expressed excitement about upcoming changes in exam delivery and future testing opportunities. The Chair concluded the meeting by recognizing the contributions of various members and looking ahead with enthusiasm for the future.
